At XRCI, the Data Analytics lab converts data into actionable decisions and creates innovative solutions that touch the lives of people in positive ways. The research group studies new machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques to predict the future and understand large amounts of unstructured data generated across diverse Xerox Services businesses to derive new actionable insights.

At XRCI, the vision of the Algorithms and Optimization research area is to develop novel and efficient algorithmic solutions for various optimization problems that arise from the Xerox Services and Technology business. Area members have technical expertise in a variety of topics including mechanism design, game theory, distributed algorithms, stochastic optimization, scheduling, graph algorithms, and business process analytics and optimization.

The Distributed and Mobile Computing group at Xerox Research Centre India is focussed on building innovative tools and technologies that leverage the cloud infrastructure to create large-scale, optimized, and sustainable services offerings. The group works on mobile and sensing systems that positively impact multiple domains ranging from improved infrastructure, to better health and education, and increased productivity and infotainment.

Human Computer Interaction is a new area of research at Xerox that seeks to throw light on diverse technological concepts and models in the field of applied human computation research. As the company expands into new areas of work, geographies, and rapidly-changing technology interfaces, Human Computer Interaction is an emerging and significant area of research. The human interaction lab studies people and their use of technology at work and everyday utilities.

The XRCI Software Lab collaborates with XIG research teams across all Xerox Research Centers and various business verticals. The Software Lab has a wide range of software development capabilities that are domain specific. The Software Lab’s collaborative capabilities range from prototyping of Proof of Concepts (PoC), realizing POCs to product proposals, including product design, project management, project architecture, development, testing and deployment.
